Our Week at a Glance:
Language Arts: After reading a very far fetched tall tale, we analyzed different features of the piece and then created limericks about our main character.
Math: We launched our Pet Rocks 'R' Us business as a fun way to explore various measurement concepts. The class designed their pet rocks for us to build boxes for and practiced finding volume and surface area of rectangular prisms.
Social Studies: Students were put into groups and assigned a First Nation nation that they will be exploring further. Later we will be using this information to create our own websites.
