Since it was a short week, I will keep this brief!

Next week we skate every day but Friday. Please have your child bring their gear as well as a CSA approved helmet.

Math: This week we focused on place value of numbers to 99, numerical order and describing numbers. The class learned 2 new math games. In fact, sandwiches is a game that can easily be played at home with just a deck of cards. Rock 'n' Roll can also be played with dice. Ask them to teach you how!

Social Studies: We learned more about the culture and traditions of the Acadian people of Meteghan and the Ukrainian culture in Saskatoon. This included looking at games, art, dance & language.

Language Arts: While learning about writing to inform, we brainstormed different ways to catch snowflakes and what we would do with them once caught. Or do we just catch them in our mouths and what kinds of snowflakes would be best for that. This was followed by writing detailed instructions with illustrations on how to properly catch a snowflake.
