Report cards come out next Friday!

Our week at a glance:

Math: Our focus this week for Math was estimating and counting objects to 100. As well we continued to practice our money skills.

Language Arts: As we continue to learn so much about polar bears the class is also learning all about how to read and write non-fiction books and articles. We have been taking advantage of this topic to revisit strategies for comprehension. The class has been writing a sentence or two about their learning in Google Classroom. I highly encourage you to ask your child lots of questions about what they are reading during home reading time to check for understanding of text. We learned a new spelling game and Owen presented his Star Student board.

This week we will have Tasty Tuesday! Thank you Mrs. C for providing supplies for us.

Social Studies: Iqaluit language, culture and traditions has been our hot topic for the week. Students learned how to write their names and new phrases in Inuktitut.

Art: The class created some fantastic polar bear art. I will include a picture in the picture link below.
