Our week in review:

Math: With a 100 day being on Thursday, we found all kinds of fun ways to make 100 using Google Drawing, stamps, stickers, money, words and more. We also created structures out of different shapes and were sorting them by attributes.

Language Arts: A writing strategy we continued to practice this week is to start with a topic sentence and to replace dull words with more interesting ones. Students wrote a story to go with a picture prompt, gave a response on Google Classroom about what they would do if they were the teacher and wrote about what they would do if they had $100 on 100 day.

 Science: In science we learned more about things that are hot, cold and comparing one to the other. We also did an experiment with hot water, cold water and room temperature water; exploring how our body adjusts to one and can make another feel more extreme than it actually is. As well we talked about being safe around water; especially if it is hot or cold.
Art: In art this week we used the numbers in 100 and turned them into something new such as a giraffe, a lady bug or a face.
