Shortest Week Ever!

Click the calendar tab above for important upcoming dates and events.

***Please log in and complete the permission forms for our upcoming field trip to The Steadfast Tin Soldier if you haven't done so yet.***

Math: We continued to work on missing addends this week. After exploring different strategies to complete the number sentences, students have been easily solving these types of problems using the strategy that is most comfortable for them. Our basic facts focus this week was +2,-2. Next week week we are making 10's. We also have been comparing numbers and recognizing which is greater, less than or equal. The also compared equations to see if they were balanced or unbalanced and the symbols that represent this.

Language Arts: The class learned all about Word Work these past few days. We tried the different Word Work activities, learned how to practice our spelling/word sort words on Spelling City. Students can access this from home by clicking the spelling above. They all know their usernames and passwords. If not, feel free to email me for them.

Please have your child remember to bring their home reading books back each Thursday to be exchanged and to keep their word sort cards in their kanga pouch. We will be swapping words each Monday (except this Monday because this was such a short week.)
