Our Week at a Glance:

Math: We started patterning this week in Math. Students learned about the pattern core and how we extend patterns to repeat our pattern core. We created patterns with numbers as well as shapes. The Beebots were introduced to the class as well. Using the Beebots, students were able to create patterns and sequences to get their Beebots to where they need to be. Check it out in the pictures below.

Spelling: Our class had it's first spelling test on Friday. Students can show you their spelling results by logging into Spelling City using the link in the 'Spelling' tab above. New words and sorts will be given on Monday so please ensure your child has their word sort envelope with them.

Zones of Regulation: The blue and yellow zones were our focus this week during Zones Of Regulation. Some of the strategies discussed to get back to the green zone were taking deep breaths, whole body breathing, going for walks, taking a rest, etc. You can discuss these and others with your child to learn more.

Language Arts: We had our second Tasty Tuesday this week and made Spider Pies. After eating their delicious creations, everyone had a to write a recipe review.
