Important dates next week:
Monday - Spelling Test and new words.
Tuesday - Class picture day.
Friday- Mid-Term Break. No School.
Math: We wrapped up our measurement unit with a fun project using the Google App, Build With Chrome. Everybody built their own online Lego house. We then had to exercise our skills of measuring an object using non-standard units of measurement to count how many studs long and wide our houses are and how many bricks high.
Currently we are learning about geometry and have been exploring the different kinds of 2-D and 3-D shapes.
Science: We experimented with different types of liquids and learned that some mix well while others separate and why this happens. We also experimented with different solids in water to see which dissolve and which do not. After learning about this and dissolving juice crystals into water, we put what we learned about states of matter to freeze our juice and enjoy frozen ring pops at the end of the day.
