Important days this week:
Tuesday: Picture day & spelling test day
Wednesday: Library books are due
Friday: Last day to order hot lunch
Math: This week we learned about different shapes and all the places we find them in our world by creating collages that focused on specific shapes. We also began exploring how we can sort them by different attributes.
Language Arts: We continued with our, "When I Think of the Alphabet" writing project and began the art work to accompany it. I have been so impressed by the great descriptors the class is coming up with for the nouns they choose.
Science: After reading Dr. Seuss' Bartholomew and the Oobleck we made our own version of Oobleck and learned all about how liquids separate because of density in the process. We explored layering liquids and ended our week with experimenting with different types of paper and how water helps them to dissolve. Ask your child which paper dissolved fastest for this weeks blog question.
Angeline chose to use her Class Dojo points to read a book to our class before our Daily 5 time. |

Ask your child why liquids layer and what they learned from this experiment besides how to make a big mess. :) |
