April 7-10

Important dates this week:

Wednesday is yoga day.
Hot lunch is due Friday.

Our week:

Zones of Regulation: This week we disc5the yellow zone and what it feels like. Ask your child what strategy they use to get back to freen from yellow.

Math- We continued measuring different objects using non standard units but began making estimates first. We also introduced 100's during our calendar time number of the day.

Language Arts : The class can't wait to read you their Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs stories. Almost done.  Just the conclusions and title pages left. New book clubs and a new readers theater group were started during Daily 5.

Social Studies: Everyone should have a good start on their projects due this week for the culture fair. Please let me know if you have questions. In the meantime we have been learning about the natural resources in our three focus communities, the jobs they produce and also tourism.
