Fun Food and Fitness Friday

Our Friday began with  a celebration of a very successful fundraiser! Thank you so much to all who supported our students in the spelling bee. Not only was it a great practice of spelling words, our school raised $7000 for fine-arts programming! 2AK has much to be proud of because our class raised the most money... almost $700! Wow! Prizes were handed out this morning and the whole school got to have ice cream in the gym! Yay!

For more food fun, today was also Fresh Fruit Friday! Many thanks to Extra Foods and the employees who donated their time cutting up fruit so we could enjoy fresh fruit today. The students have been very conscientious this month about healthy eating and everyone is putting in an extra effort into bringing a Rainbow Lunch. Having fresh fruit donated by Extra Foods really solidified the importance of eating fruit. The fruit was delicious! Thank you!!

Finally, we had our Friday Fitness visit from Marriott Fitness. They come every Friday for 15 mins to work on basic movements with us like jumping, arm movements, etc. They also teach us sign language which is very cool. Thank you to Coach and Supergirl for your time and effort!
