This week's highlight: Mission Impossible in the gym!
ELA: We've come to the end of Poetry Month. It's been a fun and creative month reading, writing, and reciting poems. It was really neat to see all of the classes participate in Poem in your Pocket Day. I loved that students took time to stop and share poems with each other. We have a full playlist on SoundCloud, click the link at the side to have a listen! Also, students created some beautiful art and writing for Earth Day. They are displayed in the stairway. This week we will be doing Guided Reading during Daily 5 time, and practicing for the School Spelling Bee!
Math: We are continuing with our new Patterns unit. Students are creating Repeating
Patterns and Identifying the Pattern core. This week we will explore patterns found in stories, music, art, action, dance... As well, we continue to practice basic math facts.
Science: This week we are studying the 3 states of matter: solid, liquid, gas. We will also learn about The Water Cycle. Students are enjoying the hand-on experiments we are doing! There is more to come! :)
