Over the past week we introduced buddy reading during our Daily 5 time, made a short slideshow each about safety measures around hot things and completed the Terry Fox walk.
This week we are going to learn about insulating objects to preserve their temperature in science by building ways to keep stuff hot or cold.
In math we will continue to discuss odd and even as a little more practice is still needed. However we have also been learning to count using pennies, nickels and dimes and will continue this through the week.
In language arts I would like to introduce word work to our daily 5 routine which is a fun way to practice our spelling skills and words.
As for housekeeping items, I believe the only thing so far that went home are the book orders.
I can't believe that September is over! It has been such a fun start to the year.
