Valentine's Week

We finally have a full but still action packed week ahead.

Language Arts: During writers workshop on Tuesday we are going to continue to hone in on our representing our voices in our work. We are also going to read and discuss 2 more folk tales. There will be a spelling test on Friday morning.

Math: Last week we started to touch on dividing with remainders. This week we are going to dive into the concept further as well as dividing some very large numbers. Math packs are due on February 13th. I can't wait to send home some new games we have been learning in them.

Science: This week we are going to experiment with the axles of our cars to find which position would be most optimal on the wheel for gaining distance. We are then going to talk about pulleys and create pulley systems to help make work easier.

Art: I would love to wrap up our four seasons project this week. I'm excited to see how they turn out.

Other: We are not having a formal Valentine's party but I do have a variety of themed activities planned for that day. If your child plans to bring Valentine's to hand out that day, please ensure that they bring one for every child.
