Once students got over their initial Monday morning doziness, we were back in full throttle again.
Math - We are reviewing multiplication and further introducing division. Students are still encouraged to try and learn their basic facts and can practice them through games here on the blog too if they would like.
Language Arts - We are continuing our exploration of folk tales and fables.
Social Studies - This week we started discussing Alberta's natural resources with a focus on fossils and fossil fuels.
Spelling - New words are posted. The spelling test will be on Thursday, Jan 19.
We are soon going to be starting a new science unit where we will be building simple machines. If you could save juice can lids and send them in with your son/daughter, we would make good use of them as wheels for car building.
