Before decorating Christmas tree shaped cookies, we were learning different ways to organize our writing. Students had a choice from 3 organizational patterns and topics to follow.
1. Step by Step: Describe the steps taken to decorate our Christmas tree cookies or a real tree.
2. Compare & Contrast: How is our Christmas tree cookie similar and different to the Christmas tree at home or in our classroom?
3. Most important to least important: Describing traditions of Christmas, especially the tree.
