Last Monday all the grade 4's got to tour the world renowned Edmonton Waste Management Center. We learned all about the ways that garbage and recycling is sorted, what we do with it and how we can reduce the amounts. Did you know that Edmonton produces the most garbageper capita in all of North America? We also got to hear about how in the near future, the center will be able to be rid of all but 10% of the waste it takes in and even turn some of it into fuel to heat homes and etc.
