It's Already October!

I can't believe how quickly the first month of school has flown by! With a new month come new word wall/spelling words so watch for those this coming week.

The last week of science in September had us on a field trip to the Waste Management Center, concluding our experiment to see how fast different foods and items biodegrade, and a fabulous presentation about waste water by Mr. Hepler. This week we will be talking about hazardous waste and how to recognize the different hazard symbols we find our home.

In Language Arts, we are about half way through our novel study of, The Best School Year Ever. This book has been full of laughs and led to some interesting in class discussions. Check out the life size character sketch of each of the main characters displayed in the halls. Students had to not only create their chosen character, but they also had to cover it all over with information they have gathered about that character.

Coming up this week...
1. Early Dismissal on Wednesday.
