Math: We have been so lucky to have been given the opportunity to use Beebots in our classroom this week and next. Using the Beebots we have been predicting and making measurements of the lengths and perimeters of our desks using the Beebot steps as a non-standard unit of measurement. We have also been using the Beebots to help us identify and name 2D shapes.
Science: Students have been researching boats and what makes them float to prepare them to design and begin building their own boats next week. Today we learned about Bernoulli's and Archimedes principal and how we can apply this also to our boats by experimenting with different weights and shapes and objects to make them float. Please check your email for a list of supplies we have started gathering for our boat builds.
