Stories for Stollery

Tannis from the Stollery came to visit our class Thursday so we could present her a cheque, a giant cheque! The class wrote 30 stories that they donated as well as $552.72!

Tannis told us a little about the hospital and asked the class what they thought the Stollery could use the money for. Some suggestions were:
  • give the money to the scientists so they could find a cure for cancer
  • buy more books and toys for the children who have to stay at the hospital
  • buy new medical equipment

We were surprised to hear an average of 550 children visit the Stollery every day!
Tannis told us the Stollery could use more space.

The 2AK class would like to send a big thank you  to all the staff, students, and parents who donated. Thank you to the Galloways who bound all the books for us.
And thank you to the Pettits for giving the class DQ gift cards!

We have a very caring bunch of kids in our class and I am so happy to have the privilege of being their teacher!

Group Hug!
