Math Centers: Adding and Subtracting

This week we wrapped up our 'Addition and Subtraction to 18' unit. We will be using what we've learned about Adding and Subtracting throughout the year in math. In the spring we will be 'Adding and Subtracting to 100'. It is much easier to add and subtract to 100 if the basic facts are known by heart. I encourage the class to practice at home. This can be done in fun ways: playing dice, card, and domino games, playing online math games that focus on adding and subtracting, and talking about how we add and subtract in daily life. I am sending home an addition and subtraction strategy sheet that explains the strategies learned in class. If you have any questions or want ideas for games you could play, let me know. My email is kristen.kaluza@gshare.blackgold.ca.
