Theme Change

We wrapped up our Waste and Our World unit with a sweet surprise from Elise Toogood. Elise made the class a compost cake after seeing the idea in a magazine and everyone got to enjoy it topped with egg shells, cardboard, grass clippings and more. 

We have now moved on to our new theme which is Alberta: A Sense of the Land. In this unit we will be studying Alberta and its vast natural resources as well as the industries created from them. Furthermore, we will be discussing the different energy options that Alberta provides its residents and how and the pros and cons of each.
