Keep an eye out at the start of the week for a permission form for our first grade 4 field trip to the Edmonton Waste Management Centre on September 17th. We will also be looking for parent volunteers to join us. Because we have to take 2 busses for this trip, we may even have some room on the bus for parent volunteers. After our tour, we traditionally go to Rundle Park and have a picnic lunch before heading home. More details will be included in the letter that comes home. This really is one of my favourite field trips of the year. It is eye opening to the kids and really makes them aware of the amount of garbage we produce each day.
We will also be taking a walking field trip this month to the Devon Recycle Centre and then at the end of the month, visiting Leduc #1.
